Grant Station dates back to 1893, originally built by Louis Benson and later operated by Lars Jorgensen as Jorgensens General Store, serving as a residence, general store, post office, telegraph office, and trading post for the community.The property changed hands in 1956 and continued operating as a general store until closing in the early 1960s.
